Workshops

Education

The possibilities of learning are limitless, and we love working with passionate educators who understand the value of inspiring imagination. We cultivate confidence in the classroom, combining play, clowning and physical theatre to present workshops for secondary and tertiary drama students.

Capturing curiosity, building confidence

While we love to capture curiosity in the classroom, every workshop is also designed to align with the curriculum. Enabling students to master the topic at hand, while building their confidence. Our workshops can help you tick those boxes as an educator as well as strengthening the spirit of your class.

Please complete our online form to book a workshop or for more information email info@theclowninstitute.com.

A scientist in silly trousers pointing at a board with a big squiggle on it, stood next to a giant science beaker holding a lollipop, a ruler, an eye, a pencil and some abstract shapes.
  • Alicia made them feel at ease, creating an artistic space that was comfortable whilst simultaneously pushing them out of their comfort zones. They walked away with deeper knowledge but also with big smiles on their faces.

Caroline Rowland - Drama Teacher, Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta

  • The students bought into the activities with enthusiasm and concentration because of how well Alicia set them up, explained the purpose of each activity and showed how clowning has serious and powerful underpinnings beneath the 'silly, playful and childlike' qualities.

Abigail Jones - Musical Director & Drama Teacher, Inaburra School

  • The use of music as a way into character was really engaging and effective for our students and will be a strategy we continue to apply moving forward.

Chris Montgomery - Reddam Drama Camp

  • (One of our students) was able to gain so much knowledge from you and has been reinspired to work on his performance.

Heidi Quinn - Head of Drama, St Aloysius College

  • As a teacher, this was a great professional development experience, watching Alicia and her expertise in action. We will definitely be bringing her back.
