Are you ready to tap into your inner fool and explore the magical world of clowning? Clowns, the masters of mirth, possess a unique ability to connect deeply with their emotions and fearlessly embrace vulnerability. Join us on a weekend journey where we'll help you shed the burdens of inhibition and discover newfound freedom on the stage.
These clowning classes are designed to unlock your true potential through a series of engaging activities, including group games, improvisation exercises, pair work, and solo explorations. We'll focus on the core elements of clowning: presence, truth, and playfulness.
Together, we'll peel open the beautifool banana that is you and celebrate the wonderful and ridiculous aspects of your personality. Laughter will be our guiding light as we embark on this journey of self-discovery and joy.
These clowning classes are infused with a playful and light spirit, ensuring plenty of laughs along the way. No prior experience is necessary—just bring an open mind and a willingness to embrace your inner fool.
Throughout the workshop, we'll cover topics like:
- The State of the Clown: Establish a deep connection with your audience and embrace the moment.
- Playfulness of Spirit: Activate your curiosity, imagination, and freedom to explore.
- Duo Work: Collaborate and co-create moments of hilarity and connection with a partner.
- Crack the Body Open: Expand your physical presence and discover the art of physical comedy.
- The Flop: Learn resilience in the face of challenges and turn mishaps into comic brilliance.
Please come dressed comfortably and with an open mind. I provide red noses, and no previous clowning experience is required. This workshop is designed for adults, and I like to maintain a small group size for a personalised and enriching experience. Join us, and let the laughter and self-discovery begin!
